Southern Rata Honey
Nestled under the Southern Alps along the West Coast of the South Island, bees forage on remote expanses of the Southern Rātā tree. The rare and brilliant scarlet coloured flowers only blossom every few years. Rātā honey is very light in colour, and has a distinctive silky smooth buttery texture with a fruity aroma. The delicate taste makes it one of the finest honeys in the world.
